1.  If I workout in a group how do you tailor my workout to my individual needs?

It’s very simple.  When you start to workout at NRG Fitness the first thing we do is to conduct an evaluation of your body and your needs.  We then tailor a specific workout to your body and assign you to a group that’s approximately at the same level and with the same kind of requirements.  Although you are working in a group your trainer is able to set your weights and positions according to your program.  The second part of the workout, which consists of pre-and-post rehab tackles your specific needs.  It’s a fact that over a lifetime our bodies develop misalignments and other quarks that to a large extent can be remedied through specific protocols.

2.  What are some of the advantages of group training?

A part from making working out with a trainer affordable, training with other people can make your workout a much more socially enjoyable experience. Most people find that when they are working with other people it sets up a certain amount of competitiveness and makes people more disciplined. Let’s face it, it’s a lot harder to blow off a workout if you know that the three friends that you always workout with will be there. Then there’s the question of energy: undoubtedly you’ve noticed that if the people around you have a lot of energy its contagious, even if you start off feeling kind of sluggish. We’ve also found out that when there’s a group dynamic at work, it even extends to the trainer himself who picks up on the group energy. So we can say that there’s a lot of symbiosis involved in group training. Take a look at the large public gyms and you’ll see a real difference with the kind of spirit and energy you’ll find at NRG Fitness.

3.  Does NRG Fitness charge as much as everybody else for personal training?

There are a lot of advantages of working out in a small group, but one of the main ones is that it enables us to reduce the cost of each hour of training to just $30 per person. That includes a strength and conditioning regimen, pre-and-post rehabilitation as individually required topped off with cardiovascular exercise.  In addition, NRG Fitness has put together a network of other health and fitness related services to which we can refer you and which are familiar with the requirements of our clients.

4.  What then does a workout at NRG Fitness consist of?

The exercises that you engage in at NRG fitness is designed to work a number of muscles and joints simultaneously in a number of different planes.  To help us achieve those goals we use kettlebells, we employ bands and most importantly we use a number of highly advanced machines unlike the machines your familiar with.  (You can see what kind of exercises these are by checking the video on this website).

5.  What makes an NRG Fitness workout superior to anything else out there?

Our approach at NRG fitness begins by analyzing daily functionality of ordinary people and approaches training as a vehicle to make your body more effective more efficient and better able to cope with the stresses and strains of everyday life.  When most people think of working out they think either a gym with a lot of machines, each one designed to work out a specific muscle, or of free weights that are used mostly by body builders to put on bulk and probably compete.

If you think about it, that kind of a workout bears no resemblance to what you do every day from lifting a baby from  a cradle to loading or unloading the grocery order from  the trunk of a car or walking up stairs.  All of those activities involve a complex interplay of muscles, joints, tendons and ligaments.  It stands to reason therefore that the best workout is a workout that’s going to equip your body for those kinds of tasks.  If you sit in a machine and your entire body is isolated except for the one or two muscles that your exercising that you may be building the strength of that muscle but you’re not equipping your body to handle the strains of everyday life.

6.  Does everyone who works out with NRG have a trainer?

Yes, everyone who works out at NRG Fitness is assigned a personal trainer and each of your workouts is with that trainer.  When you're working out you are in a small group of two or three other people for each trainer.  Unlike public gyms, no one works out on their own.

7.  Fort Lauderdale Personal Trainer. Is that what you do?

Yes. We are Personal Trainers in Fort Lauderdale.

8.  What is the difference NRG Fitness and Other Fitness Programs?

NRG Fitness is unique and (if utilized correctly) can be superior to other fitness programs.
